Russian Military Police enters Kalamun as city celebrates it’s liberation

Syrians celebrate as Russian MP enter newly-liberated city of Kalamun

After removal of militants from east Kalamun, Russian Military police has begun conducting law enforcement in the liberated cities together with Republican Guard and security units of Syrian Republic

At the request of the Syrian government, Russian military police will patrol the settlements of Gisrin and Rukheib to protect civilians from marauders, thieves and sleeping cells of terrorist organizations.

As reported by the Russian Defense Ministry, Russian military instructors will train their Syrian counterparts to work in urban conditions in the post-conflict period.

The Russian military, was greeted with “cries of joys, cheers and car horns” as they entered the city

Peaceful life returns to East Ghouta. Street shops are open again, cafes are working, with traders sitting on the steps awaiting for a client.
State institutions will once again start to receive citizens with their grievances: From the supply of electricity, water to regulation of gasoline prices which was unobtainable while the city was ran by the militants
