Europol Chief Rob Wainwright: About 30 000 are potential terrorists in Europe

All European countries are at risk, claims Europol Chief Rob Wainwright. About 30,000 people in Europe are potentially part of the terrorist communities. According to him, Europe is threatened by terrorism.

“Everything is not so clear. These people are inspired, but do not obey the “Islamic State,” Wainwright said.

The main threats to Europe today are very complex: in recent years there has been an outbreak of terrorist activity, cyber threats and many groups that resemble the mafia in many countries, the director of Europol said.

He commented on the attack in Sarafovo many years ago: “This was one of the most important cases in the history of terrorism in which Europol worked. The Bulgarian authorities gave us full access, we managed to do a lot in the investigation.”
