Macedonia protests against Stoltenberg’s visit

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg spoke today in the Assembly (Parliament) of Macedonia, where he supported the possibility of this country to join the Alliance.

“There is still room for new flags in front of NATO headquarters,” Montenegro has joined the alliance last year, and we want you to become family members too, but there is a lot of work to be done, first of all, decide on the name and dispute with Greece,” Stoltenberg said.

At the same time, the citizens staged the protest against the visit of the Secretary General and Skopje’s policy of integration into NATO, as well as against the adoption of the official status of the Albanian language in Macedonia.
