Syrian troops establish fire control over important militant supply line in Beit Jinn pocket

The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and its allies have continued fighting with Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (formerly Jabhat al-Nusra, the Syrian branch of al-Qaeda) in the Beit Jinn pocket in southern Syria.

Government troosp have secured the area of Bard’ayyah Heights and captured Shehab Hill. Thus, government forces established a fire control over a supply line of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham between the western and eastern part of the pocket.

If the SAA seeks to divide the pocket into two separate parts, it will continue developing momentum in the direction of Maghr al-Meer. Capturing it, government forces will fully isolate the militant-held town of Beit Jinn from the eastern direction.
