Syria: Russian warplanes hit Jabhat al-Nusra targets, helping repel offensive

 

 

Russian Aerospace Forces conducted an airstrike on Jabhat al-Nusra positions and infrastructure in Hama Province, Tuesday, helping to repel an offensive against Syrian government troops in which 29 Russian military police personnel were surrounded. The Russian Ministry of Defence released the footage on Wednesday.

Two Sukhoi Su-25 jets were used to attack the armoured targets of militants from the Jabhat al-Nusra group at extremely low altitudes. The Russian unit was successfully rescued.
