Syria has promised a green light to Russian business

Russian business will receive preferences in Syria. This was stated by the Ambassador of the Syrian Arab Republic in Russia Riyad Haddad.

A green light to the Russian business in Syria, given by the authorities of the country, will be mutually beneficial for both countries, says Boris Dolgov, a senior researcher at the Center for Arab and Islamic Studies of the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

“Syrian President Bashar al-Assad ordered all kinds of preferences at the highest level,” Haddad said during a meeting of the Syrian-Russian business council in Moscow.

“We will be always with you side by side, our doors will be wide open for you to help cope with the whole routine and bureaucracy. You can always contact us, we promise to do our best to help you,” the diplomat said.

According to Haddad, Russia and other countries that provided Syria with assistance in the fight against terrorism “have the right to be the first” in rebuilding the country’s economy.

This statement by Haddad is an important confirmation of what has been repeatedly voiced by the Syrian leadership, says Boris Dolgov.

What kind of cooperation can we talk about? Spheres of cooperation, according to the expert, the most diverse – the road complex, the latest technology, cooperation in the military sphere.

In addition, new deposits are being discovered in Syria, for example, the newly liberated region of Deir Er-Zor can be cited as an example.

The process of rebuilding the Syrian economy is possible at the completion, minimization of hostilities. Nevertheless, industry in the country also existed in stalemate conditions, says Dolgov.
