Serbian PM doesn’t believe her country will recognize Kosovo

Serbian PM Ana Brnabic has told Albania’s Oranews broadcaster that Serbia will not recognize the unilaterally declared independence of Kosovo, RTS is reporting.

Brnabic added that dialogue on normalization of relations between Belgrade and Pristina existed, and that it will soon be continued.

“I do not believe that Belgrade will recognize Kosovo, but the call for dialogue on better relations exists,” she has been quoted as saying.

The prime minister said that work needs to be done on normalization of the relations between Belgrade and Pristina, and that the implementation of the Brussels agreement should continue.

“Serbia has done a lot to fulfill the obligations undertaken by that agreement, and we expect Pristina to do the same, especially when it comes to the part of the agreement that relates to the life of the Serb community,” Brnabic said.
