Trump threatened Pyongyang with “bad” option for solving N Korean problem

President of the United States Donald Trump said on Saturday that he is considering the issue of imposing additional powerful sanctions against the DPRK.

“We are considering additional sanctions,” he told reporters at his golf club in New Jersey, adding that it was “very strong” restrictive measures.

According to CNN, the president stressed that he sees a chance to find an advantageous solution to the North Korean problem, but at the same time he did not rule out that the US will have to resort to other, less attractive methods.

“There can be many good things happening, but at the same time it is possible that we can resort to a” bad “decision,” he said.

On the clarifying question about whether he hinted at the possibility of war, Trump replied: “I think you know the answer to your question yourself.”

At the same time, the president assured that whenever possible, a supporter of the peaceful settlement of disputes. “No one likes peaceful solutions more than President Trump,” the head of state said.

In addition, he said that in the next few hours he intends to discuss over the phone the problem of the DPRK with the Chairman of the People’s Republic of China, Xi Jinping.
