Turkish Foreign Minister to Visit China Philippines in August

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu will visit China and the Philippines during the first days of August and will held a number of meetings with the officials in these countries, local media reported Tuesday.

According to the Daily Sabah newspaper, on Wednesday Cavusoglu will arrive in China with a two-day visit to participate in the meeting of the Turkey-China Foreign Ministers’ Consultation Mechanism.

The newspaper added that Cavusoglu would meet his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi and the two diplomats would discuss a wide range of bilateral, regional and international issues.

Following the visit to China, the Turkish minister will fly to Manila to take part in a series of meetings and events held within the framework of the 50th Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Foreign Ministers’ Meeting, the news outlet added.
