Afghan security forces surrounded the Iraqi Embassy in Kabul following a car bomb explosion and reports of ongoing gunfire, Monday.
So-called Islamic State (IS; formerly ISIS/ISIL) claimed responsibility for the attack via their Amaq news agency. Afghan police confirmed the blast but have released no further information. No casualties have been confirmed.
