Russian President Vladimir Putin met with members of Russia’s Security Council to discuss current geopolitical issues including the creation of de-escalation zones in Syria.
The council also touched on the topic of the US Senate’s decision to vote in favour of more Russian sanctions and Moscow’s measures regarding Washington’s diplomatic mission in the country.
The meeting was attended by Prime Minister Dmitri Medvedev, Chairwoman of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko, Head of the Presidential Administration Anton Vaino, and Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu, among others.
