“We must make efforts so that the European integration ceases to be an abstract concert and becomes closer, tangible and more understanding for the people … Today it is important to begin the elaboration of the fulfil to reach our dream,” Poroshenko told reporters after the Ukraine-EU summit.
Russia’s relations with Ukraine and the West deteriorated sharply after Crimea rejoined Russia in 2014 and the West accused Moscow of meddling in the conflict in eastern Ukraine, imposing several rounds of sanctions on Russia.
