Minsk, Belarus. The European Union decided after a tour of the occupied territories of the Donetsk People’s Republic and associated territory, to fork over another $50 million dollars to “help Donbass people.” The only problem is, not one cent of that money will ever arrive in the Donbass.
The Ukrainian President’s Humanitarian Envoy at the Minsk peace talks regarding the war in the Donbass, Iryna Herashchenko stated on Facebook that the European Union Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations, Johannes Hahn made an announcement about the consideration of the allocation of 50 million euros to Ukraine for humanitarian and infrastructure projects.
“Today, Commissioner Hahn has announced that allocation of another 50 million is being considered, which should also be spent on humanitarian and infrastructure projects,” Herashchenko wrote.
The funds will be sent to Kiev for Donbass, and considering Ukraine is the single most corrupt nation on earth, it does not take an intelligent person to figure out this money will never be handed over to DNR Head Zakharchenko or LNR Head Plotnitsky. It will be hauled off shore to bank accounts in Cyprus, Switzerland, Israel, Panama, Dominican Republic and Canada.
Herashchenko noted that in recent years the European Commission has allocated about 400 million euros to support Ukraine, especially through humanitarian support. Of that amount, 1.3 million was allocated to help Mariupol, which the European Commissioner visited. Hahn visited Kiev, occupied Mariupol and Dnepropetrovsk. One can only wonder how much he would give the real Donbass if he saw the damage his Euros have financed here over the last three years.
