UK ready to fight for Ukraine in latest escalation

London,United Kingdom. Having gone to Britain as a fund raising stunt, Ukrainian President Poroshenko returns home with something more valuable than money, the Prime Minister’s pledge to defend the Ukraine with British lives.

UK stands ready to help defend Ukraine against any further Russian aggression, was the message given to Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko during yesterday’s visit and talks between the two nations.

British Prime Minister Theresa May welcomed Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko to 10 Downing Street on Wednesday, saying Britain was “ready to support” Ukraine which is under threat from Russia, according to her spokesperson.

Prime Minister May also vowed to push for further sanctions on Russian President Vladimir Putin, something Poroshenko continues to request of any western nation that will listen to him.

Yesterday Moscow’s top diplomat Sergei Lavrov warned that UK’s relationship with Russia was at an all-time low. Meanwhile, more than 800 UK troops have been deployed to Eastern Europe – along with tanks and heavy armor – to defend against Russian aggression, that many are starting to ask for proof of.

Ukraine continues to allege Russian occupation of it’s Donbass region as well as mass troop movements inside the war torn region, but is unable to provide proof of such activity. Local and Russian experts in turn point out that without Russia to blame all of Ukraine’s troubles, they become simply known as a failed state run by oligarchs, criminals and western corporations in bed with them.

According to the Ukrainian president’s press service, during the meeting, Poroshenko and May have also discussed the expansion of security cooperation including more British troops becomming “more involved” in Ukraine’s internal conflict.
