Foreign media outlets are reporting that Belgium police stopped a driver from hitting a crowd of people in a busy shopping area.
Belgian police have confirmed a suspect has been detained.
It’s believed the car had French number plates.
Additional police officers and military personnel have been deployed.
The news comes less than 24 hours after a British-born terrorist ploughed into pedestrians on London’s Westminster Bridge.
