Syria: Ceasefire violated 4 times in Damascus

The Russia-US brokered ceasefire regime in Syria came into force on February 27.

“The ceasefire has been observed in most provinces of the Syrian Arab Republic. Within last 24 hours, 4 ceasefire violations have been registered in the Damascus province,” the ministry said in a daily bulletin posted on its website.

Russia’s Hmeimim-based center for reconciliation of opposing sides said that self-described “opposition” fighters from the Jaysh al-Islam militant group shelled Syrian army positions three times in a populated Harasta al-Basal area and once in Arbil.
