Putin and Renzi discuss fight against terrorism

 

Russian President Vladimir Putin and Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi have held telephone talks discussing the coordination of efforts to combat international terrorism, in particular the situation in Syria.

 

“While exchanging views on the pressing issues of the international agenda, they focused on the prospects of resolving the conflict in Syria and the situation in relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia. In this context, they pointed to the importance of the close coordination of efforts in combating international terrorism,” Gazeta.ru cited the Kremlin press service as saying.

 

The sides reaffirmed the importance of continuing joint work for the benefit of the implementation of the mutually advantageous energy projects.
