Terrorist acts with the use of firearms or explosives may be carried out in Europe on New Year’s Eve, Austrian police reported yesterday, stressing that the warning was received by several European capitals from “friendly intelligence services.”
Information on precisely which cities are under threat of attack has not been received yet. “Several possible names of potential participants of attacks were mentioned, they have been verified and an investigation based on these inspections has not yet yielded concrete results,” RIA Novosti quotes a police statement.
