Three men were admitted to hospital with fragment wounds after a hand grenade went off in a parking lot located between Bogdan Khmelnitsky Street 2 and a church in the town of Bucha. The blast also damaged several vehicles.
According to the local police, a 36-year old man, who detonated the grenade, attempted to flee the blast site but was held up 15 minutes later. The man was identified as a regular customer of the nearby store. An investigation into the incident is currently underway.
“Four individuals, three teenagers aged 14-15 and a grown-up man, sustained non-life threatening fragment wounds in the grenade blast and are currently in hospital, writes Vasily Olesyuk, Secretary of Bucha municipal administration, on his Facebook page.
